Smells like greatness!
**6/4/2011) Born This Way sells 1.1 Million First Week Sales
I love artists that make music that bend the rules of probabilities, the type of artists that take chances without worrying about criticism. Were controversy and creativity fuse together as one. The type of music that makes results unpredictable. Music that transcends from been good to great, from great to epic and so on. Music that will break the boundaries of history. Music such as Lady Gaga’s.
What did Akon see in Lady Gaga? Whatever was the case, he scored high by signing Lady Gaga to his Konlive record label. Last year, Lady Gaga released the now critically acclaimed The Fame Monster. Her album was full of melodic, pop, trance, dance type of tracks. Finding all sorts of styles was refreshing to anyone that listened to that album because it did not sound the same as any other artist. We are been witnesses in music history for been able to see such an artist develop to greatness.
Her style and music are unique compared to everyone that’s out right now. Her personality brings another ingredient to her wonderful recipe of music. Much anticipation awaits the release of her new album called “Born This Way”. Her music is about to convert her from a singer celebrity, to an iconic artist that’s about to engrave her name in music’s hall of fame.
“Born This Way” is aiming high. Forecasts of multimillion record sales are only rumors, waiting to be a reality with time. Only time will let us know if she will take the next step to greatness. She’s not a Madonna yet, but is walking in the same steps.
What do you think? Is Lady Gaga gonna be our version of Madonna?
